Embrace The Spirit Of Rio With The Royal Salute 21 Yr Previous Rio De Janeiro Polo Version

Royal Salute, the title behind a number of the world’s most interesting aged Scotch whiskies, introduces the 21 Yr Previous Rio de Janeiro Polo Version, the newest addition to its celebrated Polo Assortment. Designed for whisky connoisseurs and tradition seekers, this launch is a sensory tribute to the center and soul of Brazil’s polo capital Rio de Janeiro.
Because the seventh expression within the Polo Assortment, the Rio Version continues Royal Salute’s homage to the game of kings. It attracts inspiration from Brazil’s pulsating polo scene – notably within the fields of Helvetia and the electrical streets of Rio – mixing custom, artistry and journey in each sip.

Crafted by Grasp Blender Sandy Hyslop (learn our interview with Sandy Hyslop right here), this 21-year-old blended malt whisky delivers a flavour profile that mirrors the rhythm and richness of Rio’s tradition. The inclusion of uncommon whiskies from the Braeval Distillery, aged in first-fill casks, lends floral and grassy notes, whereas American Oak-matured malts introduce a silky easy base of vanilla and coconut. The result’s a whisky that looks like a Bossa Nova – elegant, layered, and undeniably spirited.

Offered in a putting inexperienced flagon, a mirrored image of Rio’s lush surroundings, the bottle is completed with golden detailing as a nod to Brazil’s iconic flag. Housed in a fantastically illustrated field that includes the town’s skyline and landscapes, it’s a collector’s piece as a lot as it’s a celebration of flavour.
Malcolm Borwick, Royal Salute’s World Polo Ambassador, provides: “Brazil’s polo neighborhood and Rio’s dynamic tradition supply the right inspiration. This launch captures every little thing I really like concerning the metropolis – it’s vibrant, energetic, and unforgettable.”
Accessible globally in restricted portions the Royal Salute 21 Yr Previous Rio de Janeiro Polo Version is priced from $190 USD.
